TECDUR®´s base polymer is polybuthylenterephtalat (PBT), a material with high heat resistance, high stiffness and hardness. Parts made from TECDUR® compounds can deal with high dynamic stress and have extremely good friction and abrasion properties. TECDUR® has also good chemical resistance and a low tendency to crack under tension. In addition it shows good dimensional stability due to its low moisture retention.

Range

Glass fibre reinforcement up to 60%. Other reinforcements with glass pellets, minerals, carbon fibres and aramid fibres. Also dry and low temperature impact types, antistatic treatments, heat-stabilized types and laser writable types. Types for tribological applications with MoS2, PTFE, graphite and silicone. In principle all colours are possible, as long as the individual components permit.
