Glass fibre reinforced high-performance plastics by feed up-process
The NYLAFORCE® group of materials is characterized by extremely high glass fibre reinforcement from up to 70%. NYLAFORCE® compounds are based upon an innovative manufacturing technology known as feed up-process. This enables the glass fibres to be orientated in the most effective way.
The E-modulus and therewith the strength of shape of NYLAFORCE® materials produced in this way are notably higher than those of conventionally manufactured compounds. Due to this manufacturing technique NYLAFORCE® is absorbing few lubrication. From this follows a high stability of properties at changing environmental influences.
NYLAFORCE® is ideally suited for technically functional parts with the highest demands on mechanical strength. In many cases NYLAFORCE® can be a sensible alternative to metallic materials such as aluminium and zinc diecasting alloys.
Especially the NYLAFORCE® A-types are distinguished that they exhibit enormous strength at high temperatures. Thus they are particularly suitable for high-strength parts subjected to high temperatures, for example parts used in motor vehicle engines. What makes NYLAFORCE® B-types particularly convincing is their excellent behaviour at dynamical stress.
NYLAFORCE® TW was specially developed for applications in the drinking water sector.
NYLAFORCE® dynamic is the second generation of feed up-polyamides and notably suitable for functional parts subject to heavy loads with dynamic stress. NYLAFORCE® dynamic is manufactured using an optimized feed up-process. The mechanical properties achieved thereby are unique at extremely high reinforced thermoplastics. Further special types are available on request.
