ALAMID® are compounds based on nylon 6 and nylon 6.6. The base polymers are
characterized by a very high strength with high hardness.
Its very high abrasiveness and high heat resistance as well as good resistance to oils,
fats, low alcohol concentrations, esters and ketones enable the use of ALAMID®
compounds for technically functional parts with special requirements. |

Glass fibre reinforcement up to 50%. Other reinforcements with glass pellets, minerals,
carbon fibres, aramid and metal powders. Also available are dry and low temperature
impact types, flame retardant treatments, antistatic treatments, electrically conducting
types, laser writable types, heat stabilised types, oil and hydrolysis resistant types, and
physiologically harmless types. Types for tribological applications with MoS2, PTFE,
graphite and silicone. Combinations of treatments are possible. In principle all colours are
possible, as long as the individual components permit. |
